Neighbors-
SynerGeo has been preparing for the start of fall programs. Our after
school art programs begin the week of Sept. 28th
Monday Artsplosion! K-2nd grade 3:30-5:30pm
Thursday Artsplosion! 3rd-5th grade 3:30-5:30pm
The program is FREE. We offer a snack, homework assistance, and art
education. This fall We will be focusing on learning about the
traditional arts of China. We will be making paper lanterns, Origami
creatures, kites, learning about brush painting & calligraphy and creating
a “dancing dragon” for our children’s art show December 10th.

limited to 18 participants per class.

SynerGeo is working with Four Mile Creek Baptist Church to host a Recreation Camp this week. If anyone wants to send their kids to our camp this week its not too late! Monday through Thursday => 9:30-12:00.

SynerGeo is looking for volunteers to help with programs. Also looking
for CSX employees. CSX gives $10 an hour to SynerGeo for every hour an
employee volunteers. This would really help us since money is even
tighter this year.
Please pass this on to any CSX employees you may know, who might want to
volunteer with kids.

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are having a lovely Sunday in the sun! Tomorrow night at 6pm SynerGeo is having its Potluck community dinner for the month of June. It is the second Monday of the month because the usual 3rd monday of the month we will all be in Comer,GA on a volunteer trip. So we hope you join us tomorrow night(Monday June 8th) at 6pm to enjoy some dinner nad conversation! We will be available to talk about our summer camps we have this summer if you or anyone you know is interested!! And you never know, maybe some 4 square will pick up again outside our building.

The first camp is “Art & Community” and we will explore some of Oregon Hill’s History/make gravestone rubbings at Hollywood Cemetery, work on a community themed “mural”, make “messages” to share with the neighborhood. This camp is scheduled the week of July 6-10 from 9 am until noon.
Our second camp will be the week of July 20-24 from 9 am until noon. This camp, “Art & Culture” will expose the students to art of other cultures. We will explore a different location such as Africa, Australia, South America each day.
