Live and work in Oregon Hill:

Synergeo has full time (residential) and part time (non-residential) positions available starting August 15, 2009.

Synergeo is a faith based non-profit working with children in tutoring and art programs, involving itself in Oregon Hill life with a focus on social justice concerns.

As an Americorps site, full time members are required to commit to 1700 service hours for one year (32/week). Full time members live in Oregon Hill and are compensated with:
-free rent and utilities in the Jonah House (Synergeo’s intentional community)
-a food stipend
-a monthly living stipend of $300
-health insurance
-an educational stipend of $4700 awarded at the completion of service hours
-student loan deferment/paid interest while an Americorps member
